About Me

Education

Educational History:

I grew up in Sweetwater, Texas and graduated from Sweetwated High School in 1989.  I graduated from Texas A&M University, fighting Texas Aggie class of 1993.  

Degrees and Certifications:

I have a Bachelor of Science in education.  I am certified to teach Reading in grades 1-6, and Math in grades 1-8. I am also GT certified.  

Current Position:

I started teaching at Fairfield Junior High in the fall of 2006.  This year I am teaching 4 sections of 7th grade Math and 2 sections of Algebra.  

Previous Position:

Before teaching in Fairfield, I taught first grade, third grade, and sixth grade math in Maypearl, sixth grade in Mineral Wells, seventh and eighth grade math in Yorktown, and fifth grade math in Bangs.  

Family Information:

I have been married since July 1997 to Dennis Johnson.  He is the volleyball coach at Fairfield High School and teaches geometry.  We have two sons.  Garrett graduated from TSTC and works as an automotive technician. Devin is a senior at Texas A&M University studying statistics.
