About Me

Educational History:

I graduated from Fairfield High School in 2001.  I then attained my Associates in Criminal Justice.  After much thought, I decided to change my focus from criminal justice to education.  I graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2010, with my Bachelor's Degree in 4th-8th grade Educational Mathematics.

Degrees and Certifications:

  • Associates in Criminal Justice
  • Bachelors in 4-8 Mathematics
  • Certified in 4-8 grade mathematics
  • Certified in EC-6th grade generalist

Current Position:

I began teaching in the Fairfield School District in 2012.  In the past, I have taught 6th-8th grade math.  I also taught 3rd-grade math at Fairfield Intermediate for five years.

Previous Position:

My first teaching position was with Navarro College as an Adjunct Instructor.  I then taught for two years, prior to Fairfield ISD, in Mexia at the Junior High.  I taught 6th grade math and then 8th grade math.

Family Information:

My husband, Derek Mitchael, and I began dating our senior year of high school in 2000.  We then got married in 2005.  We have two beautiful daughters Madox (15 years old) and Mady B (11 years old).  Our oldest daughter will be entering 10th grade this year and our youngest daughter is entering 6th  grade both are attending school in Fairfield.  We also have a miniature schnauzer, Daisy as well as a toy schnauzer Coco.

Personal Information:

When I am not teaching you can find me running my daughters from sporting events to sporting practices.  My most favorite thing to do in the world is watching my oldest daughter play softball for her select softball team, 16u Texas Glory-Naudin.  I also love watching my youngest daughter play volleyball and basketball.
