Mrs. Cruce – 7th Grade Reading
The weeks of March 18th and March 25th, we will be looking at persuasive techniques in advertising. Students will create a print ad (poster) and a group commercial for a new product. This will be a fun unit for students, so be sure to ask about their ads.
We are gearing up for STAAR testing. Please make sure your child has a book he/she is reading and bringing to school. If you have a fine and cannot check out books in the school library, I have a classroom collection. Every student must have a book daily.
Thank you to Steward’s Mill Church and Mr. and Mrs. Gillen-Hall for sponsoring copies of Freak the Mighty for each of our students in return for a simple act of kindness. #passiton
Welcome to 7th grade at Fairfield Junior High. This class is meant to teach your child a love of reading, whether it’s for pleasure or reading for knowledge. We will explore various genres and learn how to analyze and explore various themes and messages in the literature we choose to study.
Homework Questions? See the lesson plans link. Vocabulary and Reading Cards are counted as “Homework Participation” grades and count as 10% of your average. “Daily Work” is 60% of your average while “Tests and Projects” are 30%.
