I have been married to my husband, Mark, since August 2, 2014. We moved to Jewett, TX in May of 2016. We have one daughter, Landry Louise, born on September 23, 2017, who will eventually be a Fairfield Eagle! We love Fairfield! We tend to have a large variety of animals from time to time at our house which always includes horses, cows, dogs, and chickens. Landry’s grandparents live next door to us. Her other grandparents (my mom and dad) live in Hartley, TX, about an 8-hour drive from Fairfield! I have 3 brothers who go by Uncle Bop (who is also a teacher), Uncle Bug (business degree), and Uncle Rabbit (aspiring teacher/coach). We are a fun-loving family who enjoys lots of laughs and spending time together.
Sports have always been a huge part of my life. I played all sports through JH, and I chose to focus mainly on basketball as I entered HS. Upon graduation, I received a scholarship to play basketball for Clarendon College in Clarendon, TX. After college, I began teaching. Two years into my teaching career, I began coaching JH basketball and, eventually, all other JH sports.
When I came to Fairfield, I decided to focus solely on my teaching career and put coaching aside. I wanted to improve in the area of classroom instruction and felt the need to put all of my focus into that aspect of my career.
Learning is my passion! I love learning in all areas of education and life and want to share that love with others.
Outside of school, I enjoy decorating, painting, and crafting when I can find the time. I love spending time at home with my family, working on projects around the house, and sitting on the back porch in the evenings.
